Candi Sambisari temple near Yogyakarta in central Java, Indonesia. The temple dates from late in the ninth century and was buried by volcanic eruptions, then alluvial deposits starting in the tenth century. It was only discovered in 1966, when a farmer hit a stone with his hoe, which turned out to be the top of the temple.
