And the Award Goes To…

As it’s Oscar time, I thought it appropriate to suggest an award for "Most Irresponsible Parent". This comes courtesy of BK Magazine which this week was profiling a ticket-taker at a cineplex in an up-scale Bangkok mall. They asked him about any unusual requests from patrons.
He recounted how one lady had dropped her young daughter off at the movies, and asked the ushers to keep an eye on the girl – while the mother went shopping! She was concerned enough to ask what time the movie ended, so she could be sure to be back in time to retrieve the girl.
Must have been the nanny’s day off.
