Orchid – Hibiscus Guest House, Sukhothai

When I visited Sukhothai last month (see Return to Sukhothai) I caught sight of a rather nice looking guest house called Orchid Hibiscus, but when I returned home to Bangkok to write up my new guide to Sukhothai, I couldn’t find any listing or web site for the place. They still don’t have a web site, but they did get a very nice write-up in the Independent. It all jives with what I’ve heard from others about Orchid Hibiscus, and the author Andrew Spooner makes some good points about the value you can still find in Thailand, especially in some of the more out-of-the-way places.
Yet another reason to put Sukhothai on the itinerary for your next visit to Thailand.
