Thu 28 May 2009
If you’re in Bangkok this weekend, there are a couple of events that you may want to take note of:
Starting today (Thursday, 28 May) until Sunday, there will be two travel fairs on at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The Bangkok Post newspaper is sponsoring a travel fair focused on domestic (Thai) tourism; while the "ASEAN + 3" fair is organized by the Thai Travel Agents association and brings a number of agencies together with travel information for all of Southeast Asia, plus China, Japan and Korea.
Meanwhile, on Saturday May 30th only, the Mistress of Thai Maps, Nancy Chandler, will have their annual 35th annual fun day and sale, from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. There will be all of her maps, cards and gifts on sale, including out of print items, as well as fun activities for the family. The location is the Bulls Head Pub on Sukhumvit 33/1 – near Villa Supermarket, a short walk from the Prompong Skytrain station.
