I really like temple fairs, the Thai version of the county (or country) fair. They can be a nice slice of the "real" Thailand. As incongruous as it might sound, you can find them in Bangkok. The Golden Mount is the site of a fair every year, usually around Loy Kratong in November. Here’s a short selection of images from this year’s fair:
