Tutmak – Ubud – Restaurant Review
Sat 5 Jun 2010
Tutmak is currently one of "the" places to hang out in Ubud, and for good reason. First, there’s the location, right in the middle of town on Jalan Dewi Sita with a view of the football field, so Tutmak is accessible from just about everywhere in town. Then there’s the free wi-fi in a place that’s comfortable enough to hang around in while you catch up on news and email. Finally, there’s the pretty darn good coffee, along with some other delicious treats.

Cinnamon roll and a large cafe au lait.
Tutmak is not just a western-style coffee shop. There’s a full menu of western and Indonesian dishes on offer, as well as a drinks menu that includes not just coffee, but chai teas, fruit juices and many other options. I had a chance to sample several items while waiting for a friend who had been delayed in traffic, and all were quite good. I did not have a full meal here (although the huge cinnamon roll pictured was pretty close to one), but the hamburgers and Indonesian dishes all looked very appealing.
Coffee and other drinks run around 20,000 Rupiah. Food dishes cost between 40,000 and 60,000 Rupiah. Tutmak is open all day.
