When I wrote about the Ratchada Saturday Night Market a few months ago, I mentioned that the market had a cloudy future (and I wasn’t talking about the impending rainy season, either). That future came a few weeks ago, when the site was closed off in preparation for the construction of what looks to be a major condominium complex.

However, all is not lost. The market has just moved up the street a little bit. It’s now located on the other side of the Ratchada-Ladprao intersection, in a large paved lot in front of the subway parking garage. See the map below. The market is usually going strong by 7:00 pm or so.
